CoalShed - Room 2

Great idea, poor comfort.. This place needs to work on the basics and it would be perfect. Positive: The concept of this place is good, nicely layed out. Like the honesty box idea and bar, pool tables and ping pong. Good location, good showers, Air-con a welcome addition although faulty Negative: With any stay my priority is always comfort and getting a good night's sleep, this did not meet that expectation. We stayed in room 2. An air conditioning unit making a droning sound routinely that lasted 4-5 seconds probably every 5-10 minutes. And then the bed/mattress had a huge dip in the middle so me and my wife were stuck together in the middle of the bed and I woke up with a bad back having a poor night's sleep.

Positive: Air conditioning really helpful and the room was clean and tidy.

We had a lovely stay in the CoalShed Positive: The games made available were enjoyable, the AC was on before we arrived so the room was cool. The honesty bar is a plus and there was a common kitchen, a large fridge with much stuff left over by former customers. Also the price is worth it. Negative: The matress was average, there was a hollow in the middle of it. The walls are very thin so you can hear people coming back late.

Positive: Very cool and quirky. Room was spotlessly clean, excellent facilities. The communal areas are perfect

Convenient, well managed, no horrible surprises. Already to planning to stay again. Positive: I booked it for my sons and they fully appreciated all of the amenities and the ease of checking in. Negative: No human contact.
